Emily Moe has been a piano teacher for 16 years. She is passionate, warm, and quirky with her students in a manner that disarms shyness, making piano lessons fun. Her students look forward to their lessons. Each student’s learning experience is unique. Methods are tailored to each student’s learning style. Students in her studio are encouraged to bond as a group with activities such as group lessons and ensemble playing. Each school year concludes with a celebratory piano recital.
Emily has a Master’s Degree in piano performance and pedagogy from Northeastern Illinois University. She has studied with Dr. Tom Wegren of UMD, Dr. Mikhail Yanovitsky, Dr. Elyse Mach and Pawel Checinski, a student of Claudio Arrau and Leon Fleisher. She is a passionate learner who regularly performs. She has experience teaching students of all levels, ages 4 to adult. Though she is classically trained, she imparts a love of all forms of music.
