Hello Families,
My name is Jennifer Derrick and I will be available for tutoring beginning this fall (some afternoons and occasional Saturday hours). My specialty is writing –any age, and all styles and types. I am a former University of Minnesota Duluth writing instructor, a homeschooling parent, and a freelance writer. Qualifications include a Bachelor of English, a Master of English Studies, familiarity with a variety of ages, and teaching experience.
In all likelihood, tutoring will be held at the Duluth Public Library or the UMD library. Rates are $25 per hour. If you are a parent with two children in need of tutoring, I will be glad to tutor them both for $30 per hour (as long as this is something we discuss ahead of time, and as long as it is a good working situation for both children).
