A hands-on engineering event for girls in grades 1-3.
Saturday, November 10 from 10-12UMD Swenson Civil Engineering Building, Room 265
The Society of Women Engineers (SWE) at UMD is hosting an event for girls in grades 1-3 and their moms or other female guardian or family member.
This event provides young girls with an opportunity to learn about engineering through hands-on activities. Through the course of the event, girls and moms will have the opportunity to engineer projects together.
We'll also take time to allow the girls to work on a project together while the adults learn about ways to encourage and grow young girls' interests in STEM through their later elementary and middle school years.
