Park Day/ Nerf Battle

New Parents: The pictures on Google of Irving Park can be deceiving. Irving Park was reconstructed with new playground equipment and the sand was replaced with wood chips. The park is enclosed so even the little ones can roam freely while being watched from a distance. All kiddos, even the ones not doing Nerf, usually have a good time. Bring a lunch and join us!

Nerf enthusiasts: Join us for an Epic Battle on The Grid. Bring your guns, swords, crossbows, and axes. It's a friendly game with parents joining in on the action. No serious play just making sure all kiddos feel welcomed.

*Homeschool Dads: This event is super Dad friendly. Bring your Nerf guns and have a good time*

When:  Friday, November 2nd
Time:  12:00 - 2:00 p.m.

Fall Day at Happy Critters Farm

We had such fun hosting a farm tour in August that we are offering another day for homeschooling families - this time a fall event - at Happy Critters Farm. We are open to ideas, but are thinking of looking at animals, tractors, walking in the woods (we have a lot!!), maybe a hay ride?, maybe a campfire? (depends on the wind conditions).

Dress for the weather. (It is always a bit windy here)
Bring something to roast. If it's too windy for a campfire, we can use our grill.
Dress for Adventure Walking.

If you have any games or activities that you would like to bring, that would be wonderful. Feel free to chat with me (Amanda Lambert) or my sister (Maria Antonescu) if you have ideas.

Basically, we're opening the farm and woods for you to enjoy with your kids.

For information on our farm, you can check out our Facebook page (www.facebook.com/happycrittersfarm) and our website (www.happycrittersfarms.com).

Where:  2196 Brandt Road, Mahtowa, MN 55707
When:  Friday, October 19th at 11:00 a.m.

"Speak Truth in Your Heart" Conference

We are excited to announce a “Speak Truth in Your Heart” Bright Lights conference in Wisconsin this November.

Taught by Sarah Mally, this conference will challenge girls to identify lies which are the root issues behind struggles they face and to be well grounded in the Word of God. Many girls try to change their wrong actions, but never learn to discern the wrong thinking behind the actions. As girls replace lies of the culture with biblical truth, they will see how God’s Word will transform each area of their lives as the truth sets them free! Sarah will include many stories, illustrations and practical tips as she discusses topics such as a girl’s emotions, purity, who God is, and a proper view of who we are in light of the truth of Scripture. When a young lady learns to “speak truth” to herself, she is building her life upon an unshakable foundation that will resist even the most powerful attacks of the enemy.

Session Titles:
Know Your Foundation: Replacing Lies with Truth
Know Your God: The Castle of His Arms
Know Your Identity: The Accuser and the Intercessor
Know Your Stability: Truth Over Emotions
Know Your Strategy: Resisting Temptation with Truth
Know Your Source of Satisfaction: Lies, Guys and Purity
Know Your Message: Gain Boldness in Witnessing

Also includes additional breakout sessions, skits, music, and times of fellowship and snacks.
